Dining Ashore in Phuket

Being a favourite international resort destination Phuket has plenty to offer in terms of nightlife. There are excellent restaurants and bars located in all quarters of the island where you can meet local people, other visitors and the resident expatriate community. All this exciting nightlife is just a short water taxi ride away from The Village Coconut Island.

Patong

Patong is the centre for nightlife in Phuket with hundreds, even thousands of bars catering to all kinds of individual preferences. Soi Bangla is the most popular street, at night it’s closed to traffic and happy party-goers stumble along the road even after the 2pm closing time. Restaurants abound in Patong with all kinds of international cuisines and of course Thai food.

Surin/Bang Tao

Surin and Bang Tao include most of the more up scale restaurants and chic bars due to the rising number of top end residential estates in the area. Popular restaurants include Taste, Supper Club, Tatonka’s and Silk. A number of excellent restaurants and casual bars along the beachfronts are great places to enjoy Phuket sunsets in style.

Phuket Town

Phuket Town is the island locals’ culinary centre, with restaurants serving every kind of Thai cuisine and many international favourites as well. Go native and dine at one of the many restaurants catering to residents; the food is as inexpensive as it is authentic. Try Krajok See for a really fun Thai night. For international cuisine, the city offers many top-notch eateries run by excellent chefs, such as Salvatore’s Italian restaurant located in midtown.

Rawai/Kata/Karon

Craving fresh caught seafood? Travel to the southern portion of Phuket and dine at one of the dozens of eateries that surround the working fishing villages in the area. Rawai offers casual seaside dining along the esplanade. In Kata, the Mom Tri’s restaurants offer some of the best upscale dining in Phuket. Karon beach also has a great range of restaurants and bars both local and up-market.

Boat Lagoon/Royal Phuket Marina

Perhaps Phuket’s centre for expatriate hobnobbing, these two marinas located next door to one another- five minutes from our Laem Hin dock- offer many fine restaurants and bars, including the Watermark, Skippers and Limoncello.

Shopping Malls

Phuket’s major malls, Central Festival just outside Phuket Town and Jungceylon in Patong, both offer a wide choice for shoppers seeking a culinary treat while out and about.

Floating Seafood Restaurants

Floating between The Village and Laem Hin are a number of great seafood restaurants where the catch of the day is still swimming just beneath your seat. Great value for money this unique experience is enjoyed by both visitors and local Phuket people.
