The Village Brunch
We held our second Village Beach Brunch on Sunday 22nd March and once again this proved to be a great family day out. Many of Phuket’s residents and some of our current owners came and enjoyed our unique tropical beach brunch.
We not only provide a delicious international BBQ plus our blend of Thai food but also activities for everyone; face painting and a bouncy castle for the kids, sailing and wake boarding for the older ones and massage and spa treatments for the ladies. And of course you can always just have a leisurely lunch and lie by the swimming pool with a cocktail in hand.

Songkran
Songkran is an annual nationwide party that has to be experienced in person to begin to appreciate the enormity of the spectacle and the uniqueness of the occasion. To celebrate Songkran be prepared to get wet, very wet as the party involves the throwing of water. Songkran can be summed up in one word, “Crazy”!
The water throwing can go on for just one day in places in the south, but can last for a week or more in areas of the north. The water association has a number of meanings. Water is thrown to cleanse and purify all the ills, misfortune and wrongdoing of the previous year, thus providing a clean slate for the New Year ahead. Throwing water during Songkran is also associated with fertility. It is a time when Thai people traditionally looked to bring on the rains for rice cultivation and ensure a successful and bountiful harvest.
Turtle Release Day
Coinciding with Songkran this is also the time that baby sea turtles are released on many beaches throughout Thailand as part of an ongoing effort to increase turtle populations in the wild. In Phuket some of the hotels arrange special events where in return for sponsoring a turtle you can help release the turtle into the sea.
